LITERACY COORDINATOR
The County of Warner Further Education Council sponsors the County of Warner Write Break Literacy Project - a volunteer tutor adult literacy service. Learners are matched with volunteer tutors for free, confidential tutoring to assist the learner to improve their literacy skills in reading, writing, comprehension, math or computer literacy. The Literacy Coordinator is responsible for:
1. Program planning
2. Recruitment and assessment of learners
Tutor training
Program administration
Community liaison
- This is a 22-hour per week position for ten months a year with flexible hours.
- The office is located in Warner, AB.
- New coordinator training is available for successful applicant.
Qualifications: Post secondary certificate or degree, computer skills, very effective communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team member, recognize importance of confidentiality, and willingness to pursue professional development.
